Smoky Mountain Air Show
2 Days at the Smoky Mountain Air Show
We went to the show on both days. On Saturday, we saw the parked planes, jets and helicopters. The lines were crazy — at concessions, at the facilities. No matter where you looked, someone was there. Some people had to wait 3 hours to be able to park. Though the officials didn’t count, some of them said that there were more Sunday than Saturday.
On Sunday, they remedied the parking issues, and it was easier to get in. We found a great spot at the end of the runway. The Blue Angels were the final performers. They were flying all over the place. They’d come by four at a time or eight at a time, and their flying was amazing. They climbed straight up into the sky or did smoke loops like the one above or on the left. It was a loud, exciting end to the two-day Smoky Mountain Air Show.
